As the result of our company’s ongoing research and development, we are proud to announce the first 100% PP Pouch and Spouted Pouch based on Cast. The IFIS Spa R&D team has demonstrated its commitment to sustainability, ensuring that less sustainable packaging could give way to a monomaterial solution for Pouch and Spout Pouch applications. In this way, waste has been reduced while still producing highly protective, fully customizable structured packaging (we can customize the films to meet specific customer needs, ensuring maximum preservation of the final product while caring for the environment), designed to meet a wide range of application requirements: from protective logistics to food packaging, as well as cosmetic, textile, and medical uses.

The pouches, whose key material specifications are PCF 40µm, LBW 80µm, and S9W 50µm, provide a simple way to protect high-value products in the best and smartest way, supporting customers and end users in their choice to be sustainable. Flexible materials are easily shaped to adapt to the needs of both customer and application. The result is a manufacturing process that stands out for its high energy efficiency, fast production, and significantly reduced environmental impact.

Sustainable Packaging: Our Commitment

IFIS’s commitment to creating new forms of sustainable packaging is also reflected in the certifications obtained at its Marcianise plant: ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and ISCC Plus. The building itself is covered with solar panels capable of generating 50% of the annual electricity needs. Together with the trigeneration plant, the closed-circuit water cooling system, and other proactive sustainability actions, this allows us to save billions of kilograms of CO2eq.
