Advances in Cast PP Technology and Applications
IFIS is proud to announce the first 100% PP-based Pouch and Spouted Pouch made from Cast.
IFIS’s commitment to sustainability can be summarized in our mantra, “Think outside the box!”. As an example of our sustainability investment strategy, the IFIS plant in Marcianise is certified ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISCC Plus, and covered by solar panels that generate 50% of our plant’s annual electricity needs. This, combined with our automatic shut-off lighting system, trigeneration plant, closed-loop water cooling system, and other proactive sustainability actions, allows us to save billions of kg of CO2eq.
Through extensive RD studies, the IFIS team has demonstrated its commitment to sustainability by dismantling unsustainable packaging and providing a monomaterial solution in Pouch and Spout Pouch applications. Source reduction is the most preferred packaging solution in the Sustainability Hierarchy. By choosing from a wide portfolio of raw materials to customize each film layer to work together for exceptional performance, IFIS has created a unique monolithic packaging entirely in PP.
Thanks to the excellent expertise of our converter partner, a leading manufacturer in printing, laminating, and pouch production, IFIS takes a step forward in developing applications. The pouches offer an easy way to protect high-value products in the best and smartest way, supporting customers’ and end-users’ choice to be sustainable. Flexible materials are prone to be shaped to fit the customer’s and application’s needs. Key material features include PCF 40µm, LBW 80µm, S9W 50µm.
