During 1973 IFIS began its activity by initiative of Capasso Brothers, belonging to an ancient rope-makers family.
At the beginning ropes were made interlacing natural fibres. Then, according to natural evolution of this product and the available technology, Ifis specialized in production of strings and ropes made with synthetic fibres.

Thanks to its competence, high-level specialization, obtained by continuous research of innovative and advanced solutions, Company activity is continuosly increasing. Experience gained in the product knowledge makes IFIS a leader of Italian trade.
During 1998 IFIS opened a second production area. Due to its know-how built up throughout years, the Company showed how to become a protagonist of the market.

Producing area are provided by modern systems and computer-based technologies.
Long time manufacturing experience together with control procedures in every phase of working process assure a perfect product in conformity with the strictest technical regulations in force.
The particular flexibility of the company lets IFIS work for different market sectors: agriculture, industry, shipping. In each sector, IFIS succesfully managed to create top-level products. One of more significant sector is hay making agricultural twines together with mooring ropes
